Pre-Requirements To Watch HBO max On FireStick And Fire TV Device

(a) Uninstall HBO Now App From Your Fire TV

(b) Enable installation from Unknown sources & Turn ON ADB Debugging

(a) Uninstall HBO Now App From Your Fire TV

If you are regular user of HBO now or HBO go app on your Fire Tv or Fire stick device then you must delete this application. Follow the below instructions to delete existing apps from Fire Tv stick. Otherwise, skip this step.

Step 01: First of all, go to the Settings screen by using the fire stick / tv remote to scroll to the right and then pressing on it.

Step 02: Find the Applications icon and click on it from the settings section.

Step 03: now select the ‘Manage Installed Applications’ option from the list.

Step 04: Scroll down the screen and find the HBO Now app from the list. Once you locate the app, click on the name, hit ‘Uninstall’ option and confirm the process by click on ‘Uninstall’ again to remove app.

The HBO Now or HBO Go app removed from your Amazon Fire tv stick device and you are ready for next step.

(b) Enable installation from Unknown sources & Turn ON ADB Debugging

Same as android and iOS, you can’t sideload apps/apk on fire stick without enabling the apps from unknown feature. It’s an official security feature for fire tv stick devices to prevent the device from unknown sources without permission. It’s exactly same as android phone’s unknown source permission for third party apps. If you didn’t turn it on firestick, you can’t install any third-party apps on fire stick.

Now follow the below steps to download HBO MAX Firestick Tv

Step01 Turn-ON Firestick and connect the internet >>> go to “Settings” section located at the top of menu bar.

Step 02Now scroll to the right and select the option My Fire TV or Devices option from the listed options.

Step 03Next, choose the “Developer Option” from the list as shown in below screenshot.

Step 04 Here you will see two options (a) ADB Debugging & (b) Apps from Unknown sources. Just enable both options one by one.

Step 05 Done!!! Second step completed and now you can go for next step to add HBO Max on Fire Tv stick.

How To Install HBO Max On Firestick / FireTV

Step02 If you don’t have “Downloader app” on your Amazon Fire stick, click on search icon from the Home menu bar, type “Downloader” and install it first. In order to sideload HBO Max firestick, “Downloader APP” is must. Alternatively, you can use the Alexa button and ask the assistant to search for “Downloader”.

Step 03 After installation, click on “OPEN” to launch the Downloader app on firestick.

Step 04 Just after the launching, it will ask for permission to access your device. Hit on “Allow” to continue.

Step 05 Once the “Downloader APP” opened, go to “settings” from left section.

Step 06 Configure the “Downloader App” same as shown in below screenshot.

Step 07 Come to “HOME’ section, move the cursor and type the below URL in search area.  Double check to make sure it’s correct and then press enter key.

Step 08 Open the app and start downloading it. Wait for couple of minutes to download HBO max apk on FireStick device.

Step 09 when the app downloaded, click the Install button to install the app.

Step 10 Once the installation done, click on “OPEN” to launch it directly from here. Otherwise, click on done.

Step 11 . If you select the “Done” option, a pop-up will ask you to delete apk file. Once the app installed, there is no need to keep the apk file. So, click on “delete” button and it will remove the apk file from firestick.

Method 02 Add HBO Max On Firestick Or Fire TV Using Apps2Fire App

If you are facing any issue to download and install HBO max app on FireTV using above method then try this for once. For this method your device and Fire stick TV should be on same wifi network.

Step 01 Connect the both HBO Max App and Fire stick tv with same internet network.

Step 02 Download and install the HBO Max apk on your Android phone. Download it from below link.

Step  03: Again download and install Apps2Fire app from Google Play store and then open the app.

Step 04: Once the Apps2Fire app opens on your phone, click on the three-dot button at the top right corner of the screen and select ‘Setup’ option.

Step 05: Click on ‘Network’ button from the “setup” section.

Step 06: In the next screen, you will be see a list of devices that are connected to your local WiFi network. Just select your Fire TV device from the list.

Please Note: if you are unable to identify your own device or have several Amazon devices connected to your network, you can find your Fire TV’s IP address by heading over to Settings > My Fire TV > About > Network on your Fire TV and then selecting the device with the right IP address on the Apps2Fire app.

Step 07: Once the connection is ready and phone is connected to your Fire TV device, then tap on the ‘Local Apps’ tab and select the HBO Max app from the list.

Step 08: Again click on Install option.

All done!! The HBO Max app will now install on your Fire TV device automatically and you can open the app on your TV to get started.
