Change / Repair IMEI Of Xiaomi Phones [Qualcomm Snapdragon] [Dual IMEI]

Once again we are here with new Qualcomm IMEI repair method and today we will show you how to change or repair IMEI of any Xiaomi [Mi] Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU based android Smartphone.

Now we are here with Xiaomi imei write tool or Xiaomi IMEI Repair tool. Remember this method is only and only for Qualcomm chipset based Redmi / Xiaomi devices. It will not work on any other chipset [MTK & SPD] based android devices.

Steps To Change / Reapir IMEI Of Xiaomi Phones

Step01 Root Xiaomi Mobile [If Qualcomm DIAG Code Not Working]]

“Root only required to enabling DIAG port on the device. If you are able to enable DIAG port on the device without root then skip this step01.

Users have option to enable Xiaomi Diag port using “DIAG PORT Code”. In case, DIAG port code is not working for Xiaomi or any other Qualcomm device then root is must.

Rooting is most important part of this method. Otherwise, you can’t write or change IMEI on Xiaomi phones. Checkout our “Root Section” and root your own device first. If root method is not available for you, do Google and root the device first.

Please Note: Rooting method may be different for different devices. You may root your device with one click root apps like kngo root, king root, farma root and iroot application etc. But now, one click root quite impossible for latest Smartphone. For this purpose, you have to flash twrp recovery first and then flash supersu or magisk root file to get root access.

 Step02 Enable USb Debugging & OEM Unlock

Ste03 Enable DIAG Port

For this particular IMEI repair method, DIAG port must me enabled on the device. Otherwise, there is no any other way to fix Xiaomi null IMEI/Invalid IMEI/unknown baseband issue. Visit on below link and check how to start DIAG Port.

If the DIAG port enabled on the device then you will see “Qualcomm HS-USB Diagnostic 9091” under the PORT COM [LPT] section. Open “Device Manger”  on pc and confirm the status.

Step04 Flash New IMEI On Xiaomi Phone Using WriteDualIMEI(W+G_eMMC) Tool

• Now type new IMEI or desired IMEI in IMEI 1 & IMEi 2, and then hit on Start button to flash IMEI on Redmi /Xiaomi mobile.

• Tool will flash IMEI just in few seconds and will show green “PASS” message on screen.

•  [MOST IMPORTANT] Now power of device and reboot it again. Reboot is must to apply all the modifications.

Check IMEI Number Of The Device

• Go to phone dialler App >> Type *#06# and check new IMEI number

• Go to phone “Setting” >> “About Phone” >> “Status” >> “IMEI Information”

Unable To Write IMEI Using WriteDualIMEI(W+G_eMMC) Tool –What To Do?

Sometimes it may possible tool will not work for you and you are unable to change IMEI of Xiaomi / Redmi device.

Recently we tested this IMEI repair tool on our Redmi 4 MIUI 10 version but it fail to change IMEI number. Then we tried the same method on Redmi 4 MIUI 9 by downgrade it’s MIUI version but till now it’s fail.

After downgrade Redmi 4 to MIUI8 version, it’s working file. So you may also facing this issue. In that condition try to downgrade MIUI version of the device on earlier MIUI version and check it’s working or not.

After flashing the IMEI, you can update it on latest available version again from OTA Update.
